About us

Practise information

Two generations of Heeren dentists welcome you here! We are a practice for the whole family and offer many options of high-level personalized dental care. You can come to us for regular dentistry, as well as cosmetic dentistry and oral hygiene. We value the concepts of quality and service.

Preventive oral care

We pay close attention to preventive oral care. Maintaining one’s own teeth is a major concern. Removing tartar, preventing and filling cavities, identifying future problems, comes under the heading of preventive oral care.

Our team consists of dentists, dental hygienists and (paro)prevention assistants, and together we aim to motivate and guide our patients in their dental care. Our dental hygienists and (paro)prevention assistants provide comprehensive teeth cleaning, oral hygiene instruction and aftercare to ensure this.

For the youngest among us, we work according to the Gewoon Gaaf principle.

Your children (as young as 2 years old) are welcome. By visiting our practice regularly as young as possible, they become familiar with the environment and our team. This makes good oral care and regular visits to the dentist commonplace for them.

Do you have a fear of the dentist? We understand this and are happy to take the time to put you at ease.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions? Get in touch!

What are your opening hours?

Our practice is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. For more information about our opening hours and any variations, please visit our website.

How can I make or reschedule an appointment?

If you have made an appointment with us, we are counting on you to come. Is this unfortunately not possible because, for example, you are ill or accidentally planned a double appointment? If so, we ask that you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. You can cancel your appointment by phone by calling 0302281675 or using the appointment form on our website. If you wish to cancel an appointment within 24 hours, we ask that you always contact us by phone.

If you did not cancel your appointment (or did not cancel it in time), we are unfortunately forced to charge you for the cost of this reserved time and/or agreed treatment. These costs will not be reimbursed or covered by your health insurance company.

How can I prepare my child for a dental visit?

Your children are also very welcome with us, as young as two years old. By starting dental visits as young as possible, your child will become familiar with the environment and our team. For children aged zero to eighteen, we work according to the “Just Cool” principle.

At Gewoon Gaaf, one of our dentists or dental hygienists makes a risk assessment about your child’s teeth. For example, we look at whether your child is already molting, whether there may be incipient cavities and how well your child’s teeth are being maintained. Based on this risk assessment, the dentist or dental hygienist determines when he or she would like to see your child again in the practice.

Thus, the interpretation and implementation of this prevention method may vary within a family. After all, Gewoon Gaaf looks at each individual.

A large portion of dental costs for children up to 18 years of age are covered by basic insurance. They are also not subject to the deductible.
