Just Cool
Just Cool is a prevention method for every individual child from 0 to 18 years of age and their parents. The dentist, dental hygienist or prevention assistant will give you and your child advice tailored to your child’s teeth. He or she guides your child to have and keep flawless teeth.
At Gewoon Gaaf, the dentist, dental hygienist or prevention assistant makes a risk assessment.
- How well do you and your child take care of your child’s teeth?
- How is his oral hygiene?
- Are teeth breaking through?
- Is your child changing?
- Does your son or daughter have (incipient) cavities in the teeth?
Based on this risk assessment, the dentist determines when he or she would like to see you and your child again in our practice. Sometimes the practitioner will give the molars additional protection (sealing) or a fluoride treatment. But usually those treatments are not necessary. Thus, the interpretation and implementation of the prevention method may differ within a family. After all, Just Cool looks at each individual.
Your children (as young as 2 years old) are welcome. By visiting our practice regularly as young as possible, they become familiar with the environment and our team. This makes good oral care and regular visits to the dentist commonplace for them.
